The photo of the flower is indicative
- Frequent and regular wetting (as soon as the substrate has dried well but before it becomes completely dry) since the new shoots have begun to produce their roots after resting, until the leaves begin to turn yellow in autumn. Then the quantities of water are reduced, and when the orchid has thrown the leaves down, the wetting is completely suspended, because the plant has entered the rest period. During the rest, however, to prevent the pseudobulbs from shriveling too much, the surface of the substrate is lightly vaporized about 2-3 times a month. Most of the old roots die during the rest, so it is very important to start over with the waterings ONLY when the new shoots are about 5cm high.
- They are orchids very in need of nutrients.
- Keep good air movement to avoid fungal growth.
